Nautical St. Pat’s Day
is Almost Here!
March 1 is tomorrow, and that means spring is around the corner, many March birthdays in our family, and, of course, nautical St. Patrick’s Day!
Wait? Wha…? St. Patrick + nautical, ye say? Well, Ireland is an island, right? Surely, as a boy, the young Patrick must’ve dabbled a bit in sailing or fishing or both in an adorable little seaside town. And as the story goes, pre-sainthood, the junior Patrick was once captured by pirates (bet ya didn’t know that, aye, matey?), so we think celebrating St. Patrick’s Day in nautical style is befitting!
In our version of the story, a young maiden — hearing of the lad’s escape from those blimey pirates — decided she needed a new outfit, to redecorate for Patrick’s homecoming, and a gift or two for him. So she went shopping. 😉 Were she a modern-day maiden, she’d have been doing much of her shopping on the Internet, from the comfort of her home, and in her lounging outfit (which is green, of course).
