Ready or Not, Here Come the Holidays!
Starting today, we’re releasing our holiday card designs. Only 54 sleeps until Christmas!! That’s exciting, right?
You’re going to see right here that our first design is quite tropical and in keeping with the generally nautical theme we’ve got going on here — and, truly, we think you’re going to love it!
But, as we release our series of designs, you’re also going to find that we have a message: Inclusion. Not that “nautical” is considered divisive {at least not that we’re aware!}, but we set out on a mission to offer holiday greetings to as many of our readers as possible, so not all of our holiday designs are nautical this year.
What we’ve done is create designs for people with various lifestyles. We’re celebrating Christmas, Hanukkah, and “the holidays.” We have cards for engagements, LGBT / LGBTQ, and, we hope, something which people of any ethnicity and origin might say, “Hey, that’s a neat card!” And, so, today, we’re releasing our first holiday card. Because Christmas is only 54 sleeps away, but Hanukkah begins in 31 sleeps!
Sand is the New Snow in 4 Color Choices
So here’s our first release. If it’s your first holiday in the tropics, truly, sand is the snow for you this holiday season. And whether you’re celebrating Christmas, Hanukkah, Kwanzaa, or just the jolly-ness of the season, if you’re celebrating poolside, at the beach, or on your boat, this is a perfect holiday theme for you. As a bonus, it might just make your snow-shoveling friends “in the great white north” a tiny bit envious.
If it’s not your first winter in the tropics, it’s great for you too — because we’ve designed it to be personalized! We think Sand is the New Snow still works, but feel free to change the main greeting to anything else you prefer. {And still make your friends a little envious…}
We offer this design in 5 base color palettes, some being complementary and some being color changeable. For photo cards, your photo selection is layered above that, hanging by clothes pins on strands of twinkle lights. All are created with fun, whimsical handwriting or chalk-styled typography.
- Aqua Ocean and Sandy Beach is the version in the first photo. The background features — what else? — an aqua ocean and sandy beach scene.
- Rustic Barn Wood offers a naturally colored wood background.
- Monochrome Weathered Wood offers a gray, weathered wood background.
- Bright Teal and Tropical Coral are set on those respective color, and those background colors — on all products, from cards to gift tags and more — may be changed to, literally, any color you desire. Wearing navy blue in your family photos? No problem! Choose “customize” to change the background color to a light blue {though teal or coral and navy blue work, too}. Wearing purple? No problem! {You get the idea…}
