Their Difficult Journey is Just Beginning …
It’s being reported that Hurricane Harvey has destroyed as many as 40,000 homes, and that Harvey may well be the worst natural disaster to hit the United States. Being Florida residents, we’re all too familiar with the devastation a hurricane can leave in its wake, and, when such a disaster strikes, we do what we can to support victims. In 2016, following Hurricane Matthew’s devastating landfall, we made care packages to send to the Bahamas, and, for every devastating hurricane, we donate to either the Red Cross, the Humane Society of the United States, or both, if we can afford it, and we always encourage others to donate to the charity of their choosing.
That’s what we’re doing here, now. Through its PayPal Giving Fund program, PayPal is accepting donations to 14 selected non-profit organizations. PayPal is covering all of the transaction fees. That means using the links on this page will likely send more cash than going to any organization-specific link, which would likely cause that organization to incur transaction fees.
Neither Nautical Boutique Co. nor its owners receive any compensation, credit, referral, or any other type of benefit when you click the link below and donate, plus you don’t even need to sign up for a PayPal account.
The people of the great state of Texas need our help
Update: As of September 12, 2017, PayPal has collected $4,093,886.07 for Hurricane Harvey relief efforts! THANK YOU for donating!
CNBC reports that the cleanup effort may cost as much as $57 Million. As of this writing, Census.gov indicates the population of the United States is more than 326,000,000. If every person gave just $1, we’d be able to clean up after Harvey and have money left over.
Please donate what you can, even if it’s just a $1.
