It All Started with a Pillow …

While out shopping with a friend visiting from “up north,” we fell in love with a simple pillow. It had our hometown of Stuart and the latitude and longitude for Downtown Stuart displayed on a soft cotton fabric. It was a small 20-inch square pillow. And it was $89! Well, now, that wasn’t going to happen until it snowed in Downtown Stuart! (Our average daily temperature is in the 70s, so we can safely say snow isn’t in the forecast. Ever.)

We knew that our hand-selected fulfiller of all things custom — Zazzle — could do better than that. And so www.NauticalBoutique.Co was launched because we knew we wouldn’t stop at just one pillow. 🙂

We’ve created a few of our favorite and client-requested locations, starting with our hometown of Stuart, Florida, using authentic National Oceanographic and Atmospheric Association (NOAA) nautical chart graphics, and then added the latitudes and longitudes of some pretty famous places: Stuart‘s own Confusion Corner, Jupiter’s Lighthouse, and Baltimore’s National Aquarium.

And not one of our pillows is $89. The pillow shown here is customizable — change “Stuart” to any city, town, landmark, your name, a friend’s name, your last name, or even your dog’s name (but, really, we have dog pillows here instead . . .) and the coordinates, too — and available in polyester (with zipper or zipperless), cotton, or specially treated outdoor fabric, and, if it’s on sale, that link will include today’s discount code. Also, whether it’s on sale or not, if you click our link and make a purchase, we earn a small royalty or commission which doesn’t affect your price. You can trust that’s not our motivation for designing great products at Zazzle, however — saving money is, but the FTC requires us to tell you that, so there you have it!

If you live in a faraway land (or even if you don’t), you can replace our chosen city name with any city name and matching (or not) latitude and longitude your heart desires! We consider this — far and away (see what we did there?) — the best thing about www.NauticalBoutique.Co designs.

Not a lover of Stuart? That’s sad, but you can change it to Jensen Beach or Port St. Lucie or Palm City or anywhere else. To find the correct latitude and longitude coordinates of your favorite place, go to your an online mapping service, type in the desired location address (or an address nearby), and then click the “pin” on that location. Here’s an example using Google Maps and Downtown Stuart’s Confusion Corner.

If you’re not a fan of Google, simply use your favorite search engine to locate alternative sites by searching “find latitude and longitude” or email us, and we’ll fix you right up!

Oh — we almost forgot! We’re not limited to the nautical charts displayed on our site.
