Today’s Free Download: Printable, Customizable Hanukkah Bunting Flag
Yesterday’s free printable was a red and white bunting banner great for Christmas festivities. So today we’re switching gears for Hanukkah! Our Giving Back Free Download Printable is a blue and gold Hanukkah bunting flag! It has a menorah and Star of David patterned background and the same bold typewriter typography. Again, you can print as many or as few letters as you need. Each “flag” in the banner is a little bigger than 4 inches by 6 inches, and you’re going to print two per letter-sized sheet {8.5 by 11 inches}.
This banner works with our Blue and Gold Hanukkah Collection.
And here’s everything you need to know to make use of our free festive printable bunting banner.

And then here’s the information for (1) compatible products to purchase option {if available}, (2) alternative to purchasing those template products {while still using our downloads}, and (3) where to buy the same item {should you prefer that over crafting it yourself}.
- Compatibility: We were unable to find a suitable pre-cut product with a template for you to print at home. Though, frankly, it’s just not necessary to have one, and you can skip to the next paragraph, if that’s okay with you. We did find this Avery™ Printable Party Banner for both laser or inkjet printers on Amazon. Each “flag” in the Avery™ Party Banner is 3.8 by 4.31 inches. So that’s a bit smaller than ours. We haven’t tried it, so we can’t vouch for it.
- Alternatives: This is what we expect everyone will do with our bunting banner.
- Get your nice card stock, linen paper, or even a semi-plastic sheet — anything sturdy that’ll go through your printer. Our bunting flags print two per page, so you need half as many sheets as you’re making flags. So if you want to print “Merry Everything,” that’s 15 characters {16, if you want a dot or other character in the middle}, and you’ll need eight sheets of your preferred card stock.
- Open the file — you can do this in your web browser window or you can download the file and do it in Acrobat Reader™.
- Change the letters. You’ll see two light blue rectangles with the letters M and C in them. Ignore that the boxes are blue and that there’s a watermark over them — neither of those will print. Change the letters in the boxes to whatever you want. Print, and then change the letters again, print, and repeat, until you have all the letters you need.
- Hand cut to size. Since the entire shape is made of straight edges, using a metal ruler and craft knife works great! To add a rope, raffia, or other string for hanging, use a standard, hand-held hole punch.
- That’s it!
- Buy It Now: If you’d rather buy finished bunting banner, we have something similar. It’s quite a bit larger — 5.5 inches by 8.0 inches — and made of a polystyrene. The great thing about this is that it’s reusable. If you think you’re only going to use it once and throw it away, this isn’t the option for you, as it is a type of plastic. This is a 16-letter banner, and for longer phrases, you can buy more than one. Each “flag” is individually cut and punched, and you thread them on the rope on arrival, so you can make phrases any length. You can get yours here.
